driiving some gauges

i'm trying to drive various gauges like temp and pressure. it seems all of the "nice" 60mm , 270 degree sweepgauges are now stepper motor types that i can't use.

we have managed to drive a simple 50mm temp gauge

has anyone else managed to do this and if so, what gauges have you used???

thanks

Most gauges come with suitable sensors/controllers to work correctly.

Or are you trying to do something else ?

yes, i'm using Autometer 0-5Volt senders to send info to the M800.

i would like to drive some conventional analogue gauges as i cant jsutify an expensive Motec dash

I have managed to make it drive a simple temp gauge, but have been unable to reliably drive other gauges like oil pressure.

since the post, i have managed to find a supplier of "CANBUS" gauges, but i have yet to work out if and how i can use them.

any help would be great

Yes, but the gauges come with suitable senders already ?

So the job is done ?

Your oil pressure gauge will come with a sender....which drives the oil pressure gauge. Likewise with any other mechanical gauge you buy.
