Kawasaki ZX10

Good morning guys.

Just wondering if anyone has a start up file for a 2005 C1-2 Kawasaki ZX10R, in particular the CRIPS value. Also as far as i can tell the engine uses 2 magnetic sensors, will this cause an issue?
I cant send any data traces yet as the engine isnt fitted in the ZX7R frame yet (im still fabricating at the moment) :roll: but any help in advance would be good.

I have an old file from around that date which may be of use to you. I can't remember its origins but it will make a good starting point.

Cheers mate, i have just Emailed the Europe support team (probably be with you now).

But i will PM you as well on here.

Any help on the CRIP and ign timing, injector settings and values would be very useful to get me started, the rest i can get Fraser to help me with once she breathes and is on the dyno....im still waiting for my exhaust to arrive to make sure the engine is in the right position in the frame, so i have a little way to go yet (its a long story) but its a 2005 ZX10R engine in a 96 ZX7R frame.....oh the fun :roll:

Hi Andy, I have no info for you, but I would be very interested to see photos of the fitment. I had a 1996 ZX7RR back in the day and really loved the chassis.

I have a website www.zx7rbuild.com but i haven't updated the fact that i am now fitting a ZX10R motor in it. I built a 950cc highly strung fuel injected B4 motor for it with a modified Yamaha R1 throttle body set...it ran a treat but i decided reliability was desirable as well as grunt.
I was told by so many people that it wasnt possible, they had tried and no way will it fit...being a automotive design engineer thats red rag to a bull :lol: . With a few modifications it does fit in a P chassis, i am currently machining a set of brackets to fit the rear mounts in the correct position and adding other bracing and mounts where needed. Im waiting for my down pipe to arrive this week so i can finalise the engine location 100% but i have kept the rotating mass as close to the original 7 engine as possible (about 10mm further back so far) so i may have to drop the forks a few mm or add a little more weight further forward so im thinking of mounting a lot of auxiliary stuff up front.

Thanks mate, I like it. Do remember to be careful with the countershaft sprocket position, can ruin the handling if you get it wrong.

Yeah understood mate. Im also trying to get that as close to the original as possible. its a fine balance to reach but i have managed to get it close and in line

Done, finished, mapped...187BHP and is lightening fast, handles like a 7 goes like an cruise missile :lol:
