Base setup for Delco boost valve

Hello,

is there any base setup for the Delco 3-way boost valve to start with ?
It'll drive an external waste gate.

Martin, I know that file, but, as you can read, the setup is for M4 ecus... correct ?
And we are in the M400 to M880 forum section.
And as you may know, M400 ecus have MANY MORE parameters to play with than M4 ecus...
I mean P.I.D. values that influence the boost control...

So, again, is there any base setup to start with for this Motec/Delco boost valve?

Hi Wolf

Min Duty 10, Max Duty 85 ,Frequency 20 will apply to any ECU.

That is the Setup for the Delco boost control valve (according to motec) like you asked.

If you want a base setup for PID boost control you first need to understand PID itself. If you want i can help you with documents on PID, just so that you know what it is that you are adjusting. PM me if you dont have it allready. PID is very spesific to the installation, so a base setup would be different for different aplications. If you have done Boost control before with simple DUTY control you will have a good idea of how much DC is needed for your desired boost. This information is fed into the "normal position" parameter on the Mx00 ECU`s and makes the PID algorithm work better. Another good way to start is to read the help file on each of the parameters, it`ll give a start value there and some extra info

By the way ,,,,m4`s can also do closed loop boost control. Integral Gain is not adjustable on an M4 tho.
