Implications of minimum 1 sec delay before over boost cut?
Posted: Thu Sep 29, 2011 9:35 pmA tuner for whom I have a lot of respect was mapping a Motec the other day, which is not his speciality, and commented that he was amazed that the over boost cut had a minimum delay of one second. He expected milliseconds as he thought that a huge spike due to a mechanical failure could do damage within that period. I had to agree that it did indeed seem a long time, but maybe we are missing something? Is there a reason why the over boost cut is unable to be set for less than the one second? Thanks.
