I am building up a turbo Toyota 4A-GE Formula Atlantic engine and have some 90919-02230 (2ZZ-GE) Toyota coil on plug units that fit nicely. I believe these are now commonplace in conversions to COP? I want to fire them from my M800, is the Bosch 0 227 100 211 igniter OK to run these? I am assuming the coils need an igniter and do not have an inbuilt one? Thanks. Does anyone have part numbers for the connector plug kits for these Bosch igniters, and are they different each side, or does one side just have a redundant connector? They appear to have either 5 pins one end and 4 the other, or maybe both ends have 5 pin plugs?

Great so the M800 will fire them directly? Can I just ignore the "Tach" pins? That's saved some money, not to mention extra wiring, which I am not terribly good or quick at Thanks very much.

Yes you can ignore the feedback pin. They are OK as far as spark energy go, when I say OK, ive never run into trouble with them on normally aspirated ZZ engines, but on turbo 2ZZ we go down to about 0,4mm plug gap at 1.5bar boost, which I guess is not too bad for an OEM NA coil. Even turbo engines like the Volvo 5Cyl B524T2`s OEM coils and the BMW N54`s and N55`s turbo engines OEM coils are not capable of much better.

Thanks again Martin, glad I posted, it was only because here in the UK today is a Bank Holiday with most businesses closed I didn't order a Bosch igniter Thanks too for the dwell and set up info.
