M400 CAN transfert rate

Postby hbefa on Sat Mar 05, 2011 3:32 am

Hello,

What is the transfert rate for CAN 2 to CAN 6 lines in a M400 ECU. Because for CAN 0 and 1, we can choose a transfert rate but not with CAN 2 to 6 ??

My ACL send data by CAN at 200 Hz and I would like to receive it on the M400's CAN 2 line (because 0 and 1 are already assign). Can I just setup the CAN data = 4 (ADL receive) and give the correct CAN address ?

Thank you for helping.

Fabe.

I think 1Mb/sec is a standard CAN bus rate, but also 512-kb/sec is used.

The CAN bus data rate has nothing to do with channels that are 200-Hz or 5-Hz or whatever-Hz, unless the ensemble of the channels requires more than the 1-Mb/sec or 512-kb/sec or whatever the CAN bus rate is at.
