Hello,

We are running 2 Buggies For FIA Baja and Dakar.
As the rules hace changed and turbo petrol engines are now accepted we are thinking to change our power plant and gearbox to be more competitive.
We are now running a Ford 2,2 liter 4 cyl. reliable but not that fast.
I would like to know if there is any experience with the Mitsubishi Evo engine as 2 x 4 in rally ?
This engine has to be as a group N rallyengine in order to be accepted.
What Motec is available for this use ?
can you have different presets for for example different altitudes ?
Yesterday the Dakar was at 4000 meter altitude, so almost no oxygen !
I also would want to know as other alternitave if Motec has something ready for a 4 or 6 cyl diesel from Volkswagen, Audi ?
thanks

Hi,
What specific experience are you looking for? The 4G63 or the 4B11 (EVO 10) engines are both very good engines so I don't think you would have any problems making power.

Our M400 or M800 ECUs will run any versions of these engines without any problems.

You can compensate the ECUs fuel, igntion and boost for any situation but I would recommend finding someone who understands how the tuning needs to change for such radical changes in altitude.

We do not currently have any ECUs for Diesel engines.
