Traction control

Postby joe90 on Tue Dec 21, 2010 3:09 pm

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if I want to use the traction control function on a M600 ecu, fitted to a 4 wheel drive vehicle, do I need to fit four wheel speed sensors or is one on each axle sufficient?

Thanks

Generally no, you only need one speed sensor front and rear, but it depends on the method you use for traction control.
On a 4WD car it is difficult to know your true ground speed so RPM rate of change method can work well in which you don't need a wheel speed sensor at all.
