Peak and Hold Settings

Hello

We have purchased an M800 ECU to run our Mazda 13B Two rotor Methanol engine previously tuned with a Microtech LT16 ECU with decen numbers achieving over 1100 HP at 46 lbs of boost. Now to our question

Complete setup

10 ID 2000 injectors with 2 on each primary wired in prallel = 4 total
3 on each secondary wired in parallel = 6 total
These injectors are 12 Ohm resistance and our voltage is 16V and fuel pressure 130psi

We are in need of the Peak and hold setting for these injectors?

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

You dont need to set the injectors to Peak & hold. Just use 0 for the injector current.
You can press the f1 key in the software to read more.

We tried 0 like the help section indicated and the injectors were maxed at 28psi. We have done over 55psi on a different ECU with plenty of fuel still left.

Thanks for the help I appreciate it

Can you explain what you mean by Injectors maxed?

Do you mean that you could not add any more IjPW on the main fuel table?

Yes thats exactly what I meant.

thanks

Sounds like you need to change the injector scaling.

In the M800 software,

Adjust,
General Setup
Fuel
Setup

The injector scaling number refers to the IjPW in m/s that corresponds to 100 in the fuel main table. i.e set it to 10 and a value of 100 in the Fuel Main Table will give a 10m/s IjPW.

Whatever you have in the Injector scaling now I'd double it. When you press return after inputting the number you want, you will get a pop up window. Select yes in this window.

Hi All,
Just noticed this one so sorry I din't get to it earlier. The ID2000s at not classically a high ohm injecotr becasue they are only about 8.5ohms and not 12-16. When using more than two on one injector output the current can get too high when using the "0" setting. So, using a different injector mode can help. If this is a drag car you can set the injector current to "-8" with a peak hold ratio of 4. Which should be fine.

Thanks for your advice. We tried that setup and did not have great results. Now we have two outputs with 4 inj P&H -10 and ratio of 5. It works but we have an issue with takeoff it wil go up to 30psi on the two step nand then it dies and opens up good. I attached the data log from racepak and teh motec ecu file.

Thanks for your help

Robert

You have to make sure the hold current does not go to 4amps or more, this will shut down the output. What happened when you used -8 with a PH of 4? What fuel pressure?
