Verify: Mx00 V3 software and Math

Postby figgie on Sat Aug 30, 2008 3:28 am

I assume that the only software that allows for math function and attaching them to an output (physically or virtually) is the ADL2 software? The Mx00 v3 software can not (at least I have not found a way :) ).

Just need a verification.

Correct the Mx00 software does not allow for maths functions, this is only possible in the ACL and Dash Manager softwares.
If you have an ADL/2 or ACL connected to the ECU you can send the channels to the dash via CAN, carry out the calculations and transmit the results back to the ECU which can then be used in any of the functions in the ECU.

If you don't have a dash or ACL to use for the maths functions then one possibilty, if you have spare outputs, is to use the associated tables as lookup tables, each one being based on upto 2 channels, the output of which can then feed the output that you want to control or be used in any of the ECU functions.
