Greenamex2: When the crank trigger connection got wet and malfunctioned did it produce a fault code? I have not seen a fault code in my data logging.

No fault code on the bike. The car ecu didn't do such things (pectel t6, pretty ancient).

According to the BMW garage there was nothing indicating a problem in the ecu, which was very modern being a K1200S.

However the BMW garage were pretty thick and missed
this and other obvious problems...at great expense.
