Thanks... got it. But no way to export that out... Like to a .csv file to look at it with something else (e.g. MATLAB)


Dont know if it can be exported. But in the M800 software the trace is very clear to see

@ sarbetto. upload the map, screenshots only tell a small picture so are of little use. Also, can you upload a datalog showing this rpm variance behaviour ?

The trace is perfect for working out the ECU's needs.
However it is unclear whether the ECU figues out the crank position in the timme domain or the frequency domain.

What the instantaneous crank speed appers to be, can be difficult with torsonal vibrations.

Based on the ref/sync capture it looks like it is a falling edge signal, you have it set to rising edge.

REF SENSOR EDGE POLARITY should be 0 (you have it set to 1)
REF TRIGGER VOLTAGE should be 0 (you have it set to 5), there is no visible offset in the ref/sync capture
TOOTH RATIO should be around 40 or 50 (you have it set to 80 this could be causing the ecu to misinterpret the trigger pattern)

That is what I can tell based on your ref/sync traces.

I do not know if you can export it, but I do not think. you must install the motec software and open the file. here's a screen capture.

Hello,
in a few hours I try to put the REF SENSOR EDGE POLARITY 0.
The REF TRIGGER VOLTAGE  I tried the whole scale of -5 to 5 but I have not seen any improvement, (except with -3, -4, -5 the engine stops) by putting it to a value close to 5v remained slightly more stable. Initially putting 0v went out, so I decided to remove the sensor pick-up and now I can just put it up to -3.
Putting REF SENSOR EDGE POLARITY 0'll try as you said ...
The TOOTH RATIO I did vary from 10 to 90 but I did not notice anything (except the engine shuts down to 10-20). As soon as I have some news I write ... Thanks for availability.

Hello everyone,
so I put the REF SENSOR EDGE POLARITY to 0 .. I noticed that reading is much more stable, but still far from acceptable levels. I set the tooth ratio to 55, but if I set the trigger voltage ref to 0 the worse thing, otherwise if I put it to 5v. I removed the sensor and doing further capture the signal remained unchanged. Do you have other suggestions for me to try to improve the reading?

Can you upload a datalog of the issue occuring.

try to include any channels you feel are relevant like
engine speed
throttle position
lambda
battery voltage
fuel pulsewidth
ignition advance

also include

error group 1
error group 4
error group 6
error group 10
error group 14


also attach of a ref/sync capture at idle, it may be useful.

if you cannot attach a datalog, do you get errors when the issue occurs.
it is very difficult to diagnose this issue without more information.
