M800 with CO2 Boost Control

Postby BLN355 on Fri Feb 24, 2012 9:41 pm

I woul looked to setup the boost control on my single turbo v8 using c02 to the top of the Wastegate, this will allow me to use a really light spring (5psi) for my low boost and be able to wind the boost up to 20psi without any street OS the highinsh back pressure blowing the gate open etc, I currently run a 9psi spring which isn't low enough for me on the start line at the drag strip and use around 70% duty cycle on the solenoid to get to the aim boost of 17psi.

How would I need to plumb a 3 or 4 port solenoid with my external Wastegate to use co2 on top of the gate, how would the m800 need to be setup?

Rather than look into reducing your boost, have you looked at launch control where the wheel slip is controlled between the front and back wheels and also the level of ignition retard that you might apply on launch to keep your turbo spinning but reducing the engines power?
