Paddle gear shift

Postby boyler on Sat Feb 11, 2012 3:48 am

I currently have a m400 ecu on a suzuki gsx-r k3 engine on a formula student car. The team last year purchased a kliktronic paddle shift controller( http://www.kliktronic.co.uk/technical.htm) but never got to use it. Is it possible to control the timing of the shifts through the ecu. I was thinking of wiring from the gear up and down shift terminals at the steering wheel plug to a digital input and then using an aux output to send a signal to the control box. I don't know if this would even work but thought someone out there might be of some help.

Yes, this should work, I have used the MoTeC outputs to trigger the atuators control box before (different brand system).

Might also need to check what polarity the controllers switches are just so you can replicate it with the MoTeC ECU.
