I was always under the impression that sequential injection was better in terms of power, efficient, and emissions than less sophisticated batch/group fire approaches.
Seems counter intuitive to move away from sequential.

It may be.

But if your engine doesnt have a cam trigger, it can be far easier just to revert back to crank only and batch fire. Gains from full sequential will be very dependant on the build, the level of fine tuning applied etc etc.
For a lot, I suspect it will make only a very very small difference.
