Problem after M800 Software update

Postby whrdnsx on Tue Jun 21, 2011 10:10 pm

I recently upgaded my M800 to the Latest version 3.5P

I now have a strange problem on first startup from Cold. The Engine will start & idle then after about 30 seconds the engine starts missing & backfiring out the exhaust. & eventually stalls.
Once i restart everything's fine & the problem does not reoccur whilst warmed up or hot.

It's done this everytime from Cold.

I connected to my laptop this time & from Cold startup & Idle on Engine manager i was getting a RPM Limiting warning/window pop up intermitantly then eventually it would stall again. At Idle with no throttle.
I started it again straight away & no problem.

I've checked my RPM limit settings & they are the same as I had with the previous Version. I have Table based on Coolant temperature, ie Colder= lower RPM limit. Which the lowest is 10 degrees/4000 Rpm.

Problem sorted. Thanks for your help Jamie.

Seems when using a single axis on a table the Ecu doesn't like the "Y" axis.

Problem solved by changing to the "X" axis.
