Huge RPM Limiter Problems

Interesting to look at the logging and check the time between rpm spikes, it looks to work out to be once per cycle...i.e. the rpm trace is showing you what is most likely to be happening on a single cylinder engine with (and I assume here) lots of compression and no rotating mass?
