Bosch Motorsport Ignition Coil

Postby LacknL on Sun Jan 10, 2010 10:22 pm

Hello guy's!

I have a question about a Bosch Motorsport Ignition Coil with an integrated Ignition Module

*Single Fire Coil P100-T (http://www.bosch-motorsport.de/pdf/comp ... P100_T.pdf)

From the data sheet I know that the coil needs a ignition signal in the range of 10mA to 20mA. From a Motec Data Sheet from the downloadsection I know that Denso also designed such a Ignition Coil with integrated Ignition Module, so this system should work with the M800. But I was not able to find a data sheet for the denso coil :/

My problem is that i don't know what my Motec M800 provides at the ignition output. I think i read in a data sheet from Motec that the M800 provides a current from 1A to a maximum of 3A but I'm not sure.

Many thanks in advance for your help!

Best Regards
Luke

Use the high current setting, set your dwell table to run the 9A charge time at your highest load, these coils rock but are a bit spendy. .035" gap good for moderate boost levels, high boost use .025"-.020"

Fire gets lit at unreadable La levels at the higher current dwell times.

I'm using the Bosch 0 221 504 464 BMW ignition coils with an Audi/Bosch 4-way ignition module.

I'm not really much of a genius when it comes to the particularly high-tech stuff. I put these bits together using trial-and-error but they seem to work well with the M800.
