Hey Martin!

I just saw it that you did say "just did one with LS2 Stroker, M800, Motec Dash and logging, PDM, SLM, GPS, Gearbox control (pneumatic)....". Sorry for my ignorance, as GPS, you did use it for timing? If yes, how is it? Easy to configure?

You do get time of day out of the GPS yes....but i dont use it for timing. I use the GPS for track mapping since the races are 400 to a 1000Km long, its nice to have the track mapped on your logged data. I log position quite slow to keep this all in a 8Mb File

Its a 90 degree block with a 72 degree crank. It can't NOT be oddfire. If I remember right, the TDCs are 0,90,144,234,288,378,432,522,576,666.

We simply replaced the 2 individual IACs with a single Bosch IAC plummed into the same ports. The car runs as good or better than stock.

As an aside, I was looking at a V8 getting ready to go on the engine dyno last week. What a cool motor - the VANOS is a low pressure system and they run speed-density stock.

The V8 looks like an awesome engine. Im very interested in the BMW "ion flow" technology incorporated in the ignition coils. Its like haveing 8 knock/cumbustion sensors analysiing each combustion event. Are you doing anything with it?

What ref/sync mode is the V8 Running?

Hi Guys,
Just a bit of house keeping for the forum.

If you want to discuss the Ion sensing coils could you start another thread. No being a police man or anything its just that our new MoTeC Operations man, Dwayne Mitchell, has done a reasonable amount of work messing around with this, I have asked him to have a word. It would possibly be an interesting discussion so would be good if people could find it easily. :)
