Sync error - Recovery time

The log shows we have a problem with sync error.
I'm pretty sure it's because ref and sync is crossing 0v at the same time.
(Mag sensors)
I will get and post a capture tomorrow.
But my question is, if the sync error last for to long, does the ecu then have a recovery time ?
The engine died totally for 25 sec.
And it seems to between 2 sync errors.

Hi,

There is no recovery time, when the ECU next sees a Sync Signal, it will try to use it. If the 0V crossing for the Sync is swapping edges, you may get an Error on the Sync Signal (depending on the RefSync Mode used), but in most cases it will not stall the engine. Some Multi tooth modes will shift the engine timing by the width of the crank trigger tooth gap, and this can stall the engine as the timing is too advanced. Missing Tooth Crank triggers can ignore the Sync and keep running.

Engine BMW S14 (2,5L 4 Cyl.)
ECU M800
RefSync Mode is 60 missing 2.
Ref falling, Sync Rising.

The attached capture is taken when cranking. (Earlier this year)
I will make a new capture, when i'm in the workshop later today.
I'v also attached the log file. (Same as picture.)
PDM output 6 is power to the injectors.
PDM output 5 is power to ignition coils.

My question is:
Can it be as simple as Sync error ?
And am i right that i can move the sync timing without changing the ignition timing ?
(As the index tooth is on the crankshaft)
