M800 traction control - wheel speed signals

Postby RobinM on Mon Dec 04, 2023 11:44 am

Hi all,

I'm in the process of setting up my (LS1) track car with an M800. I have 4x wheel speed signals output from the MK60 ABS unit, which I was intending to send to the 4 digital inputs on the ECU, however one of them is tied up with the LS1 REF sensor.

So, my question is, how fast does the ECU need to see wheel speeds for good traction control? If I send the 4 speeds to the dash (as digital), then transmit over CAN, will the resulting delay make any material difference?

And is it better then to mix-and-match: send the two rear wheels to the ECU, and the two (undriven) front wheels to the dash and transmit?

Hi,

I would send one undriven and both driven wheels to the ECU, and then the remaining undriven to the dash.
