M800 to Jenvey FBW (Sorry newb questions)

Postby OzBdr on Mon Jul 05, 2021 10:39 am

Hi, first time poster!
I have a Bendall Daytona Coupe running a blue printed Ls2 with Ls7 heads etc etc. Was running the the stock inlet manifold with FBW TB run by the M800 unit.

I have now upgraded the inlet manifold and TB's to Jenvery 8 TB unit using their Chevrolet LS1/2/6 - SFD52 Kit with the ETA2 Electronic Actuator with operating wheel, Variohm Hall Effect Throttle Position Sensor and VE DBW Adaptor.

After much modifying its all in. My newb question is I assume that I will have to now relcalibrate the motec m800 to suit the new Jenvey ETA2 actuator? The car actually starts and runs but Ive got no input from the throttle.

So my first question is A: Is my assumotion with regards to recalibation of the new FBW motor correct?
and
Should I buy the Motec Can/USB lead and download the M800 program or just leave it to my dyno/tuner to sort out?

Thansk in advance. Matt

Hi,

The M800 will need to be recalibrated, if you can send the part number of the motor that you have used to support @ motec.com.au then we can supply the calibration information, if we have a matching part number.

Who is doing the tuning for you?

Hi,

I passed the email on to the engineer that does the DBW calibrations for follow up with this, I thought that i had seen that he had replied to the email, so I'll check with him shortly on this for you.

I think Jenvey website has setup information. It might not be perfect but it is a good start.

Thanks mate yeah I spoke directly to Mike Jenvey and no luck. Thankfully through my racer mates I came across a guy who can calibrate everything for me so we've now started the process. Just to set up the Kit to work was a mission in it own right. But Im getting there.
