M800 able to log SDL ?

Postby 20B on Wed Jan 21, 2009 1:47 pm

First up great forum !
I am running an M800 and its pretty much full of sensors being logged, I have an SDL attached via CAN to the ecu and I was wondering if I attach sensors to the SDL whether I can log those sensors via the ecu for use in interpreter or whether I have to buy logging for the SDL and do it separately ?

You can do this, but it is a bit complex.... (I hope you are using i2 not interpreter!)

you need to decide which channels that you wish to send to the M800 from the SDL

Set them up in the SDl so that they are wired in and working correctly.

Next download ADL2 manager, and install it.

Go into ADL2 manager and create a transmit template (using the attached document for instructions)

Copy the newly created and saved template from the Program files\motec\dash\comms setup directory and place it in the Program files\motec\dash\sport dash manager 1.?\comms setup directory

you should now be able to select your new template in the SDL and have it transmit via CAN to the M800.
