DBW with DHB

Postby 64hardtop on Mon Jun 04, 2018 5:56 pm

I'm looking to set up a DBW system on an ITB manifold using either a Jenvey ETA2 or a similar unit from AT Power. Both these units exceed the current rating of the aux outputs on my M800. Can I drive the DBW motor via a DHB module? Any latency concerns?

Hello,
The M800 is perfectly capable of running DBW directly, there is no need for a DHB. Aux 1 and 2 are specifically used for full bridge control of a servo motor, mainly DBW. I have done many ETA2 set ups and this is what I would recommend.

The main thing to remember is that your spring load when fully open will set your full throttle (continuous current) which should not exceed 2A.

Please watch my Youtube video on this subject as there are a few things to take into consideration.

Thanks Mark, lots of good info. Can I view the current draw via the software or have to make up a 'patch harness' to insert a multimeter in series?
