OEM Mode 59

Postby TurboMiles on Sun Oct 19, 2008 11:36 pm

Looking for information on this mode. The only description I find for it is VW Audi.
I experimented with this mode yesterday and didn't make any progress. While cranking I get RPM values in the 8000-17000 range, it gives me an RPM over limit error. It tries to crank on the first stroke but nothing after that. While cranking my shift light is flashing in my face, lol.

Using a 60-2 ref wheel and tried both 1 window and an uneven 4 window sync. Car ran before this in mode 7 with 1 window sync.

I believe we sorted this out via email, the four uneven cam teeth (two short and two long) are for ref/sync Mode 17.

Mode 59 is not used anymore and the help screen will be changed to reflect this.
