Open loop boost control

Postby Mark_r33 on Fri Sep 30, 2016 12:56 am

Hello guys,

It's my first go with a Motec, and I am probably just being stupid here, but do the compensations not apply to the open loop boost duty output?

I am logging the Aux 3 output that is set as my boost solenoid, and can not get it to vary based on a compensation going from -100% - 0% that is watching the voltage of a pot on the dash. I see the table lookup the values, it just doesn't seem to act on them. Surely at -100% there should be no duty to the solenoid, yet there is?

Do the compensations only apply to closed loop, and if so, does the same apply for the IAT and ECT compensations?

When the car came to me I looked at the map and thought it peculiar how the dial-a-boost had been setup, but now I am starting to see why it was done like it was. This is with an M400.

Thanks for any help!
