I need help, error grp1 and inlet air temp

Postby mruehl34 on Sat Jun 27, 2015 2:05 am

Hi,

this is my first project bike with motec. I come from Germany and it is not my job to built bikes and engines, it is only a hobby. My technical english is bad. It is a Honda RVF 400, NC35 which get a fuel injection. It runs very good on a dyno and yestaerday i made my first track day with the bike. I know that i have a lot of work to make a final map.
In my third turn i got some mistakes.

Error grp 1
Error Inletair Temp

Can somebody explain me what is wrong with it.

Here is my logfile.

Looks like the error is due to a bad ground for the air temp sensor (or possibly a faulty sensor)

the reading is verry erratic, the values seem unlikely.

the other sensors look like they are reading OK, seems like a bad connection to 0V at the inlet air temp sensor or the actual sensor needs replacing

Thanks for your answer, i will check the sensor and the loom.
If i understnad it, both mistakes come from the same sensor?

Another question: Map sensor has always the same values. Is this correct?

Looks like you are set up for Alpha-N, throttle based fueling, and MAP is being used for baro correction, so yes, it will be a steady reading.

it depends how your map sensor is plumbed (looks like its just reading atmospheric pressure)

It is a little erratic, but thats probably just due to the vibration, my motorcycle did the same thing.

But you should take a look at the map sensor calibration settings, they don't seem correct to me.
