Motec MAP sensor

Postby Wolf_Tm250 on Fri Oct 10, 2008 2:32 am

Hello, please help me identify which MAP sensor I bought from Motec dealer years ago, cause I'm having problem calibrating it in the M400.

Image

The paper says:
DSEU58033
Abs 0 - 4 bar
Gauge 0 - 5 bar
Power supply from 8 to 20 VDC
Output from 0.5 to 4.5 VDC
Linear calibration from 0.5 to 4.5 VDC

But if I make a linear calibration 0.5 to 4.5 = 0 to 400 kPa, I get 78 kPa of atmospheric pressure !
If I put a calibration from 0 to 500 kPa, I get 98 kPa... that it seems to be a quite good value.

Please help me.

Sounds like the absolute and gage values are reversed. Otherwise your span and offset sounds correct. Maybe someone from Motec will confirm.
