Dear Ross:
How to clear the password when locked . Is it send ecu to you (Motec company ) to clear the password? Thank you so much.

You can normally clear the password by downgrading the software version in the ecu then upgrading again. BUT BEWARE - YOU WILL LOOSE THE ORIGINAL MAP AND WILL HAVE TO START MAPPING AND SETUP FROM SCRATCH.

Its not a good idea to change the software version if there is a password in the ECU.

The best way to get the password removed is to take the ECU back to the person who set it. If this is not possible then you will need to return it to a MoTeC dealer.

I am from Argentina and I have one M4 blocked. It´s possible unblocked without send to Australia, becose it's to difficult send to us for the distance. Thanks

There are only two ways to correctly clear the password from the Passworded ecu
1. Take it back to the Person that set the password.

2. Send the ecu to your nearest MoTeC dealer.

these are the only two correct ways to clear a password.

J&R is correct, there is no other way around it. If you need to send the ECU back to us this MUST be done via a MoTeC dealer.
