M2r have a problem with injecotor max duty 2x 2200cc 2x750cc

Postby imi on Wed Oct 12, 2016 1:33 am

I shouldn't be at 93% duty at 1.2bar boost
I'm thinking it's somthing I've missed in setup
I've set the injector current to 0
Fuel table numbers go to 70 so scale seems to be OK on setting 12

How does the ecu calculate the injecotr duty ?
And what settings alter this thanks

Previously I had 4x850cc and I would only hit 90% duty at 1.5bar or close to that so I no its not the I jecotrs

Also is this because I have 2 diffrent size injectors

I've increased boost and seen the duty increase to aprox 105 I'm not getting any leaner so I'm certain I've done somthing wrong in settings any help will be appreciated thanks

The injector Duty will be calculated on the smallest injector in the system.

ive not put in any injector sizes just that the ratio between the 2 are 2.93 does it use this ?
also does injector timing effect the duty in anyway as i have small numbers in the table ad was thinking that i could increase the injection timing numbers i have it set to a stable setting as in the file

the injectors are bosch 725cc x2 ev14
bosch 2200cc x2 ev14 stubby

this is log

In the map you posted you have the secondary balance set to 1.0, it should be 2.93 as you posted. Also in you secondary balance table you are commanding 50% of the fuel comes from the primaries, you should set this to 33% to get duty cycles of both sets to be similar (since your primaries will only flow 33% of the secondaries). I also think you will probably need to bring the secondaries in earlier to keep duty cycles reasonable.

So not to use 50 but 33 this will max all injectors ?
As in my current ballance table I am using 50% assuming it was using the ratio I put in 2.93 to max both
Ahh because the diffrent sizes in injectors makes perfect sence will upload my current file then make changes and test and report back thanks loads

Thank you very much turns out it was just the ballance table as you have said
Thanks a lot for taking the time to look at the file

Need to go on another run to reduce the fuel numbers now many thanks

25% on your balance table will max out both fuel injector. i did one not too long ago, and to calculate the max fuel on the bal table would be 1/(1+inj ratio) X 100. so your come out 1/3.93 X 100, it is about 25%.

gkwestfrank is right here, I'm not sure where my suggested 33% came from, possibly half asleep at the time.
