hi guys
i have a1996 wrx subaru jdm running on a m48 pro implant when its cold it runs fine but as it warms up after about 5 to 6 minutes it develops an error on the cam sensor input if i push the sensor in so that it actually touches the ferite rods on the plastic cam wheel it clears the error but it comes back when you stop pushing it in then it will not restart when its hot unless you push the sensor in again i have changed the sensor for a new one and tested the wiering for high resistance from the sensor to the ecu but it is all ok any sugestions guys ?????/

Hello,
You really need to get an oscilloscope to see the signal going into the ECU. If there is no signal when you are not pushing on the sensor then it has to be something with the connection to the ECU. It could be a simple as a bad connection in the plug on the sensor, testing the resistance in the wiring would not show this.

If you still have a signal but it is very low then the setting in the ECU for the magnetic sync sensor could be wrong. pushing the sensor closes the air gap and therfore increases the signal output voltage.
