Problem error SYNC Signal

Postby super7 on Sun Jan 08, 2012 10:44 am

Hello.

I am helping a friend with his Golf III Cit-car rally car.
We have problems with the SYNC signal the coming and going as high up on the rpm.
I think the problem may have to do with the 2 teeth on the flywheel, they are about 72 degrees long 180 degrees from each other.

Ref / Sync mode we run at 11 and Crank Ref Teeth 2
Ref Sensor Type 1
SyncSensor type 4

Best regards Nisse

You'd need to scope the signals to check actual signal patterns and voltage levels.

Does any of the crank/cam sensor wiring go anywhere near HT leads ?
