Use a clutch switch into a digital input that is configured as "Dual RPM Limit". Then you just set your launch RPM and your RPM rate of change.

Do you use the clutch pedal after launch?

even if he does use the clutch pedal after launching its not going to be a issue anyway, as if you have to clutch it to shift then your not going to be on the noise anyway , and if you are then consider it a gearbox saver .
