The standard Air temp and water temp can be used but a calibration will be needed to be done for them, The cost of a air temp sensor and water temp sensor is less hassle than trying to calibrate the standard sensors which is why I suggested its simpler to use the Bosch and Delco sensors.
Everything you have mentioned can be done ( and has been done ) with a M4 or other MoTeC ECU.
Yes, I have several 4AG's running MoTeC's however none of them are stock, also not using an M4
As for base map, Just start with the standard MoTeC map, change the REF/Sync setup to whats in the T drawing for the distributor, Find the M drawing for the Toyota Ignition module and set that up. The CRIP will be around 6 degree plus a multiple of 180 depending on which tooth you cut off.
I think the gray injector is around 2 Ohm so a injector current of 2.5A will work
Set up the TP, AT, map & ET sensor calibrations and you are ready to start tuning
You should use the TVIS as you will loose some low down torque on a bigport engine
