MOTEC M4 datastream documentation?

Postby bazeng on Mon Jul 19, 2010 9:56 pm

Hi!

I'm wondering if there is any chance of getting a document for the datastream for an M4 ecu.
I would like to use a dashdaq which do not support MOTEC ECU's as yet, but would like to support it. They just require the datastream document from MOTEC.

Is this obtainable?

Is there a DASH available besides the usual MOTEC/AIM etc dashes.
I'm looking for something to suit a street car, not race car.

I would just like to monitor boost / temps / etc etc

if you install MoTeC ADL3 manager, then create a new configuration (file\new)

Next go to connections/communications

Click on select and choose M4/48 set 5.

Now select Advanced.

In this screen, and the following tab, recieved channels, you should find all of the information that you need to describe the layout of the M4 datastream.

Thanks for that Jamie.

I have informed the guy previously about doing as you described but he seems to not understand and wants a pdf file.

PITA

I'll let you know how I go.

I might just have to get something local instead. Maybe another SDL
