MLS Rpm output

Postby Martin on Fri Oct 17, 2008 8:45 am

Hi,

I would like to disable the x10 funtion of the RPM output when under 500rpm. The current release doesnt allow for it to be done. My reason is that 1uz-fe`s are quite capable of idling at 500rpm and to have the revcounter jump all over the place when you turn on the AC or use the powersteering is very annoying! A solution would be to get RPM from another source but since most cars using these engines are OEM equiped with a 1uz-fe transplant you need to be able to calibrate the RPM output to suit the revcounter. Also if the car is idling at almost exactly 500Rpm the revcounter will jump from 500 to 5000rpm continuously.

Motec, please could we have a solution for this?

I would have to say that this change is unlikely to get done. I understand the reasoning, but further work on the M4/48 software is unlikly with the M1 ECU work taking priority at this point. I guess there is no point suggeting otherwise if this is the reality of the situation.

Return to M4 and M48 ECUs (including M2R and MLS variants)
