m4- honda-modified dizzy- problems.

Postby Taylor on Fri Dec 12, 2008 1:53 pm

i have a honda with the jdm harness, m4 ecu. The cars crip is 120. IT runs anywhere from 50 to 120. I think that is a problem. With the timing set, it does not rev clean. Its a very rough idle and cleans up a little , but tuner thinks there is something wrong with my dizzy.

have a b18 running on wasted spark setup, msd dis2 plus ignition box cbr coils. Car has spark through the diagnostic section of the software. Timing is 9-12 degree at idle(same thing my other car runs)
Should i invest in a different sensor setup to make this problem go away?

using mode 2 for both ref and sync signals.

Sorry about the delay in replying...

Ok, have you correctly set the crip using the crip setup screen? This is where the timing is locked to a specified point, and you change your crip till your timing light matches the requested timing?

Once you have done that, there is no need to play with the crip again, it isnt your problem

if you have done that already, are you getting ref/sync errors when the engine is running?

Do you have any logging from this?
