M48 and external knock piggy back

Is there a way to hook up an external knock sensor and piggy back on a m48 and have it pull timing on a signal?

There are various ways you could do this. If you just want simple retard when the knock signal is live, then one easy way would be set a dig input to mode 6 (nitrous), you can then set the amount of retard and/or fuel increase when triggered.
