the m2r aux output 2 and 3

These are permanatly iggnition outputs for coils but i can still choose a function for them if i select a function for aux 2 say option 4(rpm) does the coils disable ?
Or can a option not realy be choosen as it is permantly coil output ?
If thats the case why is there an option ?
Im just playing with the ecu
